shade systems were first introduced into the Australian market
about 25 years ago and due to the continuing depletion of the
ozone layer and the rising rates of skin cancer, demand has grown
considerably as more people become aware of the benefits of these
amazing systems.
Health
Canada states that the occurrence of skin cancer in Canada has
been increasing at a fairly constant rate over the last 30 years
with approximately 80,000 new cases reported every year. The main
cause of skin cancer is exposure to ultraviolet radiation, or
UV rays, and it is due to this fact that, in Australia, shade
systems have become mandatory in most schools, city councils,
daycare centres and corporations
